Thanksgiving Psalms

I have been reading a Psalm a day in my personal time with the Lord recently and noticed two in particular that impressed in me a spirit of thankfulness and gratitude.  Hopefully they will encourage you as well as you spend time reflecting on how God has blessed you and what you can be thankful for this year.

Psalm 95:1-8

Titled: Let Us Sing Songs of Praise

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth;
the heights of the mountains her his also.

The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!

For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pature,
and the sheep of his hand.

Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.

Psalm 100

Titled: His Steadfast Love Endures Forever
Subscript: A Psalm for giving thanks

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving.
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
